Great seafood in a little hole in the wall place. If you dont mind eating outside this is your place to be. Friendly folks and really good seafood. We come here several times while in the area. Friends love it too!

Excellent food served hot and fresh. Nice, outdoor setting. Hope next time I'll get some fried green tomatoes.

This place is EXCELLENT. We orders fried mullet and a captain's dinner (fish, scallops, shrimp, oysters). Our sides consisted of coleslaw, cheese grits, baked beans, and fries. Everything is made to order and fabulous. Their sweet tea would hold a spoon straight up. I would willing to drive all the way out there just to eat there.

Offered to batter my grouper in corn meal bc of autoimmune issue. Delicious! Most appreciated and highly recommend. Friendly staff and homemade desserts too!

I am from North Carolina. This is one of my favorite places to eat whenever I am in town. The fresh fish sandwich with homemade tartar sauce is the best. The french fries and Cole Slaw are also perfect.

Excellent food and excellent service. For how much business they do getting a few outdoor fans to keep the bugs away would be a great investment.

This Grandma and Grandad came all the way from Virginia to find a Hidden spot for some good seafood. We found it! Over the top fresh. We treated our kids and grandkids to an awesome meal. The grouper, shrimp, oysters, soft shelled crabs and red snapper were out of this world. This place is a win win. Now the sides: fresh super hot fries, baked beans, and coleslaw all served at the correct temperature. This is now our go to for fried seafood each visit to Florida. Just missed out on one thing. We were so full we could not try the dips and dessert.

We got to say hello to miss Julie. We haven't been there 4 years since I was a coach at East Bay. Fish and shrimp were excellent I had catfish and fries. The best breading in Florida. Took home fish dip just had it with crackers while watching LSU beat Alabama

I went here today and got the boss's sandwich my husband had the grouper sandwich my mother-in-law had scallops and some really great sweet tea and great service will definitely be back

This place is a gem. I live in Lithia Florida and remodeled bathrooms for a living which leads me to pray for business in this area so I can go there for lunch. They're batter is lighter than most fried fish and let's the flavor of your food come through. I always love the combos, grouper and shrimp, shrimp and scallops, etc. Incredibly good baked beans and coleslaw. Bottom line just really great service and people.

Worth the wait! Little hole in the wall place and it didn't disappoint! We drive 45 minutes to eat here.

We had the catfish sandwich and flounder dinner with fries. excellent food. And they have a crab combo to mix with shrimp or scallops if you love sea food.

Small roadside restaurant with outside seating and awesome grouper. The captains platter you definitely need to try.

5 stars for what it is. Casual outdoor seating (covered) offering very good fried seafood. Order at the window and pick it up when your number is called. As "unhealthy" as fried food is considered, sometimes it just taste good, LOL.

This is a nice place for fish. We had their Basa, scallops, shrimp, and catfish with fries and slaw. $$-$$$. Food was good. Covered and uncovered outdoor tables. Quick service.

This was my first visit but not my last. We ordered the grouper combo with shrimp, fries and cheesy fries. I also had the fresh brewed sweet tea (free refills). Everything was fresh and delicious

Absolutely the best place to go eat. Not only is the food fantastic but Julie the owner is a complete Angel. A must go to if you haven't been there.

Don't let roadside appearances fool you. This fish shack serves great tasting fresh caught fish, at decent prices. The lines are long and the parking lot full on the weekends. So call ahead if you just want carry out. Otherwise plan to wait maybe 10 minutes in line, and 10 more minutes for them to cook your food fresh to order. Then you can sit in one of the many picnic tables outside and eat there, or in your car, or take it home. I would say this is a small hidden secret with great food, but the secret is already out, and all the locals know how to find this off the beaten path place. The food, service, portion size, taste, and set up is all great. I like this place and eat here often.

Usually a great experience. Food is always good. Just a longer wait than expected on tonight. Totally understand it was Friday night and shift change with the cooks messed up the orders. I will totally go again just probably not on a Friday night.

Don't go for the atmosphere but do go for the delicious food, and reasonable prices. The fried baby scallops were delicious. Not greasy, but crisp and juicy. The restaurant is all outside, so it is easy to have social distancing. I definitely will put this on my list of favorite restaurants.

First visit to Julie's fish house. Prices are fair, portion and quality of food is great. Such a treat to have a wonderful owner as Julie to have open a fish stand near the side of the road. Enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly staff and patrons that stop in for a fish sandwich etc. Personally I was there with a group of 6. Most of us had Basa, Catfish, fried shrimp. Fries, coleslaw, soda or tea. I had a grouper sandwich for $9.95. On the beaches would have been $17.00 plus. Delicious. I recommend this place for a quick and refreshing stop. March 9, 2019.

Wow! Really good food. Really good! I had softshell crab, catfish, & grits. I was happy. The baked beans were good, but nothing special. My cousin's daughter informs me that her mom (Marilyn Licata) is related to the owner. Maybe that's why I was treated so well.

Food was great. It's nice to have a good place that makes you feel like you're eating at home with good friends and family. Prices are a little bit more than I like to spend, but it's worth it when you look at the total picture. The oyster and shrimp basket is my choice. You can't find anything close to them around here. Julie makes the whole experience a perfect one.

Went with a party of four to enjoy Seafood. We all had something different combination oysters and scallops. Wonderful. Grouper sandwich, fried fish, shrimp and scallop combo. All of us were very happy. Used to go there many years ago. Moved out of state. When I came back I was so happy to see it was still there. Open air eating. Very casual and unfancy but wonderful. Go there.

Food was excellent; however so many people that it took a bit longer than I would have liked to get our food. But, it WAS worth the wait.

Great food for the price they give you lots for your money. They're fast service we had 22 people show up a one time and we all ate in 45 minutes. The staff was great to serve us. We surprise them with a big group.

Delicious! Fresh! You can get it not breaded because they do it when you order. We got the grouper and smoked mullet, green beans and Cole slaw. If you are in Ruskin, make the trip and get fish here, seriously! It's well worth it.

The weather was very hot and with all the seating being outside, it would have been nice if the Fan's had been on to at least move the air a little. The place isn't fancy, but beyond that the food was prepared quickly and was very good. I will definitely go back because it was worth the trip.

Cole slaw was like cabbage and mayonnaise. Fish was mushy and when I asked to exchange for something else the gal said let me ask my boss and never got back to me. On the upside the green beans, cornbread, and Coke we’re good.

The food was great. The people were great. It is my idea of what Florida is all about. I will go back as often as I can. Best fried oyster’s ever.

5 people in their 20's laughing, rubbing their belly, sneezing, eating is their customer service. No manners at all. Cook doesn't know how to fry green tomatoes, batter falls off. Oysters come in a can the kid said "I think-I know they ain't fresh"- lol. Who manages this place with 5 people in the front doing nothing? Never again.

I visit this place last night . I order a bosa shrimp combo It was not worth my $15+they give me a child's plate with 3 small pieces of fish and 5 shrimp and a sweet tea when I got home I was not please my sister visit here all the time that was my first time. Oh I forgot to tell you my grits was cold my coleslaw was very good. I was still hungry

Great shrimp. Always enjoy. Was packed today but we waited 25 minutes while we had mahi smoked dip with crackers.

All the seafood was amazing! It was hot, fresh and tasty and the portions were large. The service was friendly and helpful. Go check it out and enjoy! We will be back.
